My sister was a Tomboy. Always bruises, scrapes and cuts on her legs. The nurse tried to coerce her into admitting that she was abused. Diabolical!
I work in homes with infants and toddlers with developmental delays. I have seen dozens and dozens of cases that were fabricated and referred by neighbors or family members as a result of feuding. CPS is often weaponized (like SWATing) to get back at someone. It has been abused by connected foster parents to get a desired sibling away from custodial grandparents, and then cases in which CPS should do something, but don’t. It was a nice idea, but in practice, like any government social program, it is ineffective and abusive.
