Andrew is 100% correct. One of the biggest problems we have in the US is that we cannot communicate properly. People use words and they don’t know what it means. It really is a huge problem!
“The CIA has to follow the law in the US”. MK Ultra? Unaccountable black budget programs congress is refused lawful oversight to? Warrantless wiretapping? Iran-contra and importing Cocaine to fund a proxy war? The death of Gary Webb who broke the story and “took himself out” with two rounds to the back of the head. There’s a hundred examples out there of the CIA factually (not even counting conspiracy theories) operating within the US when they think it’s necessary. Yeah, that’s illegal on paper. But a law is only a law when it’s enforced. And don’t get me wrong, I think the CIA is a necessary agency that is largely to the benefit of our national security, but they can and do break the law and operate domestically. We know this.
